OF
IDEA |
Each quarter, we will be including
the feature column "Excalibur Corner -- Exchange of Ideas". This
column will be devoted to ideas -- any ideas of merit --
concerning the Excalibur, care and maintenance, mechanical
or operational ideas. We welcome YOUR ideas, and will
attempt to include as many of them as possible.
We will send a handsome Excalibur paper weight to each person
whose idea is accepted for publication.
Here's a service tip concerning a problem of all autos
manufactured with a close-ratio steering gear, which certainly
includes the beautiful Excalibur. You might have noticed a
steering wheel shimmy, especially at 55-65 M. P. H. |
This condition can easily be solved by having all your tires turned true
at any good tire service center. The service charge for this should run
in the neighborhood of $35, and it is worth many times that amount if
you 're en- countering this problem. Remember, after having this service
done, to always mark the wheel's location on the spline, as well as the
tire's location on the rim. This should be done when removing the tire
for any reason -- other than complete replacement.
This service will also greatly improve the ride of the car.
