ON OUR COVER

This issues cover photo shows Jim Kersting's Excalibur parked in the snow outside his home. Since we are currently experiencing record breaking highs in the 80's, it seems impossible that several months ago we had record breaking lows and a ferocious snowstorm. Jim has made numerous modifications  and  improvements  to  his Excalibur,  most of

which, unforunately, are not visible in this photo. He has added musical air horns, Quartz halogen lights, chromed engine parts, a motorcycle carrier (tote), electronic micro switch door openers and electronic cruise control -- to name just a few. The cruise control was a real project,-but Jim reports it was worth the hours it took to modify and install. Certain of these products may eventually be offered for sale -- when Jim's convinced that after many miles of testing they will get long trouble-free service and lasting beauty. Jim and his wife recently returned from a convention in Florida. During their trip, they made every effort to contact Excalibur Association members living along the route. This trip also gave Jim an opportunity to test the modifications to his Excalibur, including the cruise control and motorcycle carrier.

SPECIAL THANK-YOU'S TO:

Mr. Gerald Grant Alien, President of Alien Motorcar Corporation, Ft Lauderdale, Florida, for forwarding names of new Excalibur owners who desire information about the Excalibur Association.

Mr. Peter Lambert, Layrel Line Products Inc., Los Angeles, California, for furnishing names, literature and photos collected by the former Excalibur owners club. Mr. Lambert has also given us much needed "moral support".

Ms. Nancy Duelkre, secretary to Steve Stevens, for forwarding pictures and descriptions of last year's owner's meet.

Mr. Larry Huff, Woodland Hills, CA, for phoning us and expressing support for the Association. Mr. Huff informed the Association that a club is now operating in the Los Angeles area for Excalibur owners. They currently have about 10 owners and have planned a Rally-Picnic. In addition, Larry mentioned that Excaliburs are listed for sale by area newspapers on a fairly regular basis. Anyone wanting additional information should phone him at 213-348-9260.

Very special "Thank-You's" are extended to ALL new Association Members. We hope eventually to say so to each of you - individually!

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Messers. Kersting and Peters:

I am in receipt of your letter dated December 9, 1976 regarding the establishment of your Excalibur auto owners association.

With the endorsement of Steve and Dave Stevens, I am quite sure that your association should be well received by the Excalibur owners.

Your intention to keep the Excalibur dealers informed about the association activities is worthwhile.

Very truly yours,

EXCALIBUR MOTORCARS, LTD.

M. Bornstein
