It happened like this…..
King Brooks had given his promise to the House of Studebaker to deliver unto them a chariot so grand it would cause the vast sums of peasants to pass by their humble booth at the Coliseum.
(Enough here to say that the House of Studebaker had ailed for some time and knew the danger of the evil seed of declining sales.)
King Brooks summoned his sons, Prince David and Prince William, then little more than boys, unto his chambers. He bade them to perform this task and they did so eagerly.
When the fairest of chariots was complete, Prince William was commanded to deliver it to the House of Studebaker in the far away province of York.
What happened next has become the stuff songs and story….
It was late when Prince William arrived at the gates of the Coliseum. The Lord and keeper of this shrine stood before him expressionless. He spoke of the accursed wildfire that had scoured the House of Studebaker.
But … for King Brooks and his two sons, the nights climax was a new beginning rather than an end.
So …. from a high and burning cloud, King Brooks drew forth his sword of magic and threw it to his sins saying, “ Take Excalibur my sword, a better brand was never seen, and with it go forth with a sturdy trust in the future.”
By so doing, his magic powers became theirs and the young Princes became Kings.
Their first proclamation was to name this chariot of chariots
And so, after two decades had passed, and their Excalibur Chariots were great in number throughout the realm, the Kings Stevens’ decided to create a new order of chivalry. A whole new generation of Excalibur Chariots would be born. With the help of civilized men burning with zeal and ideas. Men who had achieved unattainable goals through hard work. And they would knight them each and in so doing these great men would become members of the Excalibur Roundtable. And to each they would offer the proof of their superiority ~
So they summoned the pages to their side and bade them to go thither and find these men, and on finding these worthy warriors to beckon them to proceed directly to the Castle of Stevens next to the great sea to begin the new generation of Chariots.
After much hard work and many days the Kings’ Stevens bade everyone welcome …… For the celebration was about to begin.
The 20th Anniversary Series Excalibur was born.
